Kasaan Rainbow

The rain stopped for a while and this rainbow appeared over the Community Hall. We see Kasaan Mountain in the background.

Fragile Bear

This memorial totem has weathered a lot and has become rather fragile. The rope and ribbons serve as a visual reminder to folks to use caution around the area.

Grand Camp

The Alaska Native Brotherhood (ANB) and Alaska Native Sisterhood (ANS) held their ANB/ANS Grand Camp Convention in Saxman this past week. The ANB is the oldest Civil Rights organization in the United States. I'm happy to be a new member.
