They are now "in the woods", not far from the beach, but were not carved there. Each originally marked a grave on one side of the village (Old Kasaan) but they now simply reside in Kasaan Totem Park, moved to "new" Kasaan in the 1930s as part of the CCC program.
Great photo, it looks like these two have been carved in what looks like a dense wooded area...memorial totems???
